RIO RANCHO, N.M.—Negotiators for the University of New Mexico Sandoval Regional Medical Center and the United Health Professionals of New Mexico reached a tentative contract agreement, the union announced today.
The tentative agreement, reached late last night, will cover approximately 400 nurses and other health professionals at UNM SRMC. Bargaining began Sept. 18, more than three years after the union formed.
UHPNM officials said they would not share details of the tentative agreement with the public until it has been discussed with members, who will vote on it today through Saturday night. The ratification vote will be announced on Sunday.
